3 area banks robbed Saturday

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO. (KTVI) – Three banks were robbed in the St. Louis area Saturday.  The first two robberies occurred in north ST. Louis County, Saturday morning.

Around 9:00 am a suspect robbed the U.S. Bank on Lucas and Hunt, then police say the suspect walked to the Simmons First National Bank on Natural Bridge, neat Lucas and Hunt robbing that bank.

Police apprehended the suspect a short time later.

Normandy and Northwood police departments are investigating those robberies.

Meanwhile, the St. Louis police are investigating a robbery at the Bank of America branch on South Jefferson.

The suspect walked into the bank passing a note to a teller, indicating they had a gun, but never showed one.

Police say the suspect got away with an undetermined amount of cash.
