KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three Missouri men are going to federal prison for robbing people who were lured to meetings through online advertisements.

Federal prosecutors say 21-year-old Rodney Brock, of Blue Springs, and 34-year-old Kenneth Sexson, of Sugar Creek, were sentenced this week to 15 years in prison without parole. Thirty-six-year-old Sage Harrison, of Independence, was sentenced to five years without parole.

Brock, Harrison and Sexson all pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit armed robberies. They all also pleaded to other charges related to the robberies.

Prosecutors say the men posted ads on several websites to bring people to area hotels, residences and apartments in Kansas City, where the suspects ambushed them and robbed them at gunpoint.

Several other people have been charged in the conspiracy.
