SOUTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) - Three siblings are safe tonight, after rising water made for a frantic fishing trip.

The children were fishing along Gravois Creek when the waters rose so quickly the trio was trapped on a railroad abutment along grant’s trail in South County.

Crews responded from Mehlville and Lemay Fire Districts and rescued the kids without incident. They told first responders the water came out of nowhere.
