4 killed in fire in rural northwest Missouri

EDGERTON, MO (AP) – Officials say four people died in a fire in rural northwest Missouri.

The fire was reported about 11:40 p.m. Friday outside Edgerton in Platte County.

Capt. Erik Holland of the Platte County Sheriff’s office says when members of three area fire departments arrived the home was fully involved in fire.

Holland says four people are confirmed dead. He did not release identities or the relationship between the four victims.

The State Fire Marshal and other investigators are at the scene Saturday to determine a cause for the blaze.
