7-year-old struck and killed in west St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – St. Louis County Accident Reconstruction is investigating the death of a 7-year-old child struck and killed in west St. Louis County.  The accident happened near Missouri 109 and Shepard Road just before 7:00pm Saturday.

Police an SUV was making a left turn out of the Babler Elementary School parking lot onto Missouri 109 and struck the child as she was crossing the road from the parking lot of Elaine Rosi Academy.

The child, Rachael Bick, was rushed to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.

The driver that struck the child remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

School officials plan to counselors on hand for students and staff this week.
