ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - Parishioners at St. Johns Lutheran Church say the church has been broken into four times in the last month. The most recent incident was Friday night.

The church released video of a man walking around the property at around 10pm. They were also hit last Sunday. The vandal destroyed food and Christmas toys that were collected for the needy. The thief also took an antique leather and wood bound German Augsburg bible.

”They stole took all of the Christmas presents and shredded them up looking for money. I guess they knocked out the windows in the classrooms at the old school," said church member Craig Goebel.

Members say the church at 3738 Morganford has been a target for years. So much so DKstuf CCTV, a local camera company, donated security cameras after the church`s copper was stolen 3 years ago.

The church believes it's the same perpetrator because he was seen wearing the same outfit during the break-ins. The church is in the process of spending hundreds of dollars in repairs to multiple windows and doors.

Call St. Louis City Police if you have information leading to an arrest.
