A/C units tampered with at Griot Museum of Black History

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Thieves busted three air conditioning units at a local museum in order to steal parts from each unit.

According to Schron Jackson, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incidents occurred between June 11 and June 14 at the Griot Museum of Black History, located in the 2500 block of St. Louis Avenue.

Jackson said the security cages for each of the A/C units were pried open. Two of the units were missing their condensers, while a third had its copper piping removed.

The investigation is ongoing.
