BELLEFONTAINE NEIGHBORS, MO (KTVI) - Missouri education officials planned to ask Riverview Gardens School District families how to help the schools regain accreditation in a meeting Wednesday night.

The district will host the first of two meetings at its Family Community Resource Center.  Riverview lost accreditation in 2007.  Officials from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) wanted to hear from the district about their plans for turning things around.  They also want to know what people or groups in the community can help.

The state also planned to check in with the district on how things are going with the student transfer program.  The goal is a long-range plan, and the state wanted some guidance from the public.  Speakers may be asked for their addressand they will have to limit their comments to five minutes.
