COLLINSVILLE, IL (KTVI) – A man who has worked as a staffer for a Metro-East congressman was arrested after allegedly attacking Lindsey Lohan. Christian LaBella, 25, has worked for Congressman John Shimkus in Washington, D.C.
LaBella reportedly met Linsey Lohan at a Manhattan nightclub over the weekend and according to a Washington Post blog, went back to her hotel room with a group of her friends. But things turned ugly when Lohan allegedly confronted him about taking pictures of her with his cell phone.
When Lohan reportedly tried to take the phone, the fight allegedly became physical, starting in her room and ending in the hallway where LaBella allegedly tried to choke her. Lohan reportedly pulled the fire alarm to try to get help.
Ultimately, LaBella was released because police could not substantiate the allegations. Fox News reports in the past, LaBella has been charged with assault and harassment and that his Facebook page has pictures of him with other celebrities.
A spokesperson for Congressman Shimkus confirms LaBella has worked in the congressman’s office in Washington, D.C. The congressman is not commenting.
