ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – There are 900 Ameren workers trying to restore power to customers who lost it during Wednesday night’s storms.  There are about 5,500 homes that are currently without power in the area.  During the peak of the outages about 43,000 people lost power.

Ameren Missouri says that crews will work into the night to complete power restoration.

An Ameren Missouri worker died on Thursday of electrocution from a live power line.  He was working on restoring power to the area.  He had been with the company for 19 years.
