ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-When it comes to the National Football League, domestic violence has dominated the headlines for weeks. Now advertisers are starting to weigh in. One of the biggest is St. Louis based Anheuser-Busch.

In a statement released Tuesday, Anheuser-Busch said, “We are disappointed and increasingly concerned by the recent incidents that have overshadowed this NFL season. We are not yet satisfied with the league’s handling of behaviors that so clearly go against our own company culture and moral code. We have shared our concerns and expectations with the league.”

The company has not said whether or not it has discussed removing any advertising.

Former Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice has been suspended indefinitely for hitting his then-fiancee in an elevator in an Atlantic City, New Jersey, hotel. Vikings player Adrian Peterson was deactivated for a game after a Texas grand jury indicted him on a child abuse charge. Carolina Panthers’ Greg Hardy was deactivated shortly before game time Sunday following an outcry over his domestic violence case. He is accused of choking his then-girlfriend and threatening to kill her.

The Radisson hotel chain has suspended its sponsorship of the Minnesota Vikings in the wake of the child abuse allegations against Peterson.

On Monday, it was announced that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will work with four women “on the development and implementation of the league’s policies, resources and outreach on issues of domestic violence and sexual assault.”
