Arrest made in carjacking on high school parking lot

BELLEVILLE, IL (KTVI)- An arrest has been made in a carjacking on the parking lot of Althoff Catholic High School in Belleville, IL. On Monday, November 7,  just before 7:00pm, the victim was approached in the parking lot by a suspect who  indicated that he had a weapon and demanded the keys to the victim’s car.

Belleville Police arrested a 16 year old juvenile. That suspect was charged with one count of  felony Vehicular Hijacking by the St Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office Juvenile Division on Thursday, November 17 . The juvenile remains in custody at the St Clair County Juvenile Detention Center.

No other suspects are being sought in the case.
