‘Arrested – Muahahahaha’ – Ballwin police fill in last entry of thief’s journal

BALLWIN, Mo. – Police arrested a man who was keeping a journal of his crimes. They filled in the last entry for him, “02/06/2019 – Arrested – Muahahahaha.”

The Ballwin Police Department’s “Weekly Roundup” report often features quirky crimes committed in the community. This week’s Facebook post is a classic with. Police say they have featured this serial thief in their previous “Weekly Roundup” reports.

The suspect was spotted on Wednesday with a backpack full of alcohol clanging down the sidewalk along Manchester Road. There had been reports of stolen alcohol from several Ballwin businesses. He was identified as a man who had been stealing alcohol from businesses in the past.

The suspect’s journal was discovered among his possessions. It details the theft of bottles of tequila, whiskey, vodka in December. The approximate values of the thefts are also listed along with the dates of the crimes.

The thief was working on Christmas Eve. But, he took several days off between Christmas and New Years. There are no entries listed for January or February. But, it appears that there are more pages to this report.  This list begins on December 13, 2018.

Police have not identified the suspect or released charges in this case. FOX 2 is working on gathering more details on this story.
