ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) -   Gregg Rasmusson is creating his future. He's getting ready for the St. Louis Art Fair in Clayton in a few weeks.  It's a dream realized as his pottery will be put on display at the Art Fair. His former art teacher heard the good news.

"And was told that he had been accepted into the St. Louis Art Fair which was always one of his goals when he was a student." said retired art teacher Pamela Senti.

On Wednesday in Clayton, Rasmusson was showcasing some of his work including this pot that will be presented to Sterling Bank. They're donating $100,000 towards the art fair.

For this series of pots that Gregg has been working on, he says he gets his inpiration from elements of nature and mid-century modern design.

"Gregg is a very good example of how a young person can have dreams and have those dreams come true as an artist."  said Pamela Senti.

Setting your mind to the task at hand. Afterall, your life is a piece of clay,  don't let anyone else mold it for you.
