BALLWIN, MO (KTVI) — An ATM was stolen from the Ballwin Athletic Association ballpark concession stand last week.
The unidentified subject, a white male, was caught on tape July 27 around 1:00 a.m. The suspect used bolt cutters to break into the metal gates guarding the machine and a pry bar to dislodge the machine from the concrete.
After prying the machine from the concrete the suspect then dragged the ATM westbound through the Ballwin Athletic Association ballpark into the adjoining forest.
In the process the suspect damaged a light and cut and stole a padlock.
Pieces of the machine were found in the woods and it has been predicted that the rest of the ATM was loaded into a vehicle parked at Schrader’s Funeral Home.
The suspect is approximately 5’10” to 6’ tall and between 200 and 220 pounds. He has dark hair with pronounced sideburns. Anyone with with additional information is encouraged to contact Det. Mike Reynolds at (636) 207-2309.
