MARTINSVILLE, Ill. (AP) _ Authorities say an autopsy is set for a man killed in a small plane crash in eastern Illinois over the weekend.

Clark County Coroner Jeff Pearce says the man of rural Martinsville was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy for David Goodwin is set for Monday.

The plane was found in the middle of a field in Illinois’ Clark County, not far from the Indiana border.

Pearce says family members knew Goodwin had gone flying but didn’t hear from him. They reported him missing early Saturday.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
