ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– Members of Cardinals Nation can now go to work for Cardinals Nation, and they don’t have to be a great pitcher or hitter. 250 jobs are up for grabs.

Cardinals’ spokesman Ron Watermon said, “It’s going to be a lot more than a job, it’s really being part of a world class organization.”

Construction crews are busy these days making sure Ballpark Village is ready for opening day.  The lights are turned on. The doors are in place. And behind all the glass is where Cardinals Nation will be located. It will include a restaurant, museum, seats to watch the game and a retail shop. Cardinals Nation takes up a lot of space.

Watermon said, “This is one of the largest restaurants in the city of St. Louis at over 34,000 square feet with over 500 seats in a two story restaurant and an additional 300 seat outside on game day.”

He said they are hiring 250 workers, everyone from the general manager and executive chef to the hostess and dishwasher.

Cardinal fan Erica Morgan said, “It would be awesome it would be great to tell people I’m part of Cardinals Nationand I work there.”

Watermon added, “It’s a welcome shot in the arm for our local economy to have these new jobs created. I think this is going to be a destination year roundand I think that’s a little bit of a game changer for downtown.”
