CLAYTON, Mo. (KTVI) – The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has formally charged 44-year-old Walter J. Martinez of Ballwin, for sexual assaults that occurred at two local nursing homes. Martinez was charged with two counts of deviated sexual assault, one count of forcible rape and one count of forcible sodomy.
The charges stem from an investigation by both the Chesterfield and Ellisville police departments that were brought to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office by detectives from the St. Louis County Police.
It’s alleged that Martinez assaulted a 99-year-old female and a 80-year-old man between May 22, 2012 and June 1, 2012, while working as a hospice nurse’s aide for Odyssey Hospice.
Police are asking anyone who has come into contact with Walter Martinez and need to report a crime, to call 314-889-2341.
Martinez bond has been set at $100,000 cash only bond.
