ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The ban against funeral protests stands in St. Charles County. Tuesday, U.S. Court of Appeals upheld the St. Charles County ordinance that prohibits picketing at or near funerals starting one hour before to one hour after it is finished.
Members of Westboro Baptist Church challenged the ordinance.
The court ruled the ordinance is legal under the first and fourteenth amendments.
