ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – If you recently donated to a charity for the U.S. military, your money may not be going to the advertised cause.

The Better Business Bureau issued a warning to the public about ‘Patriot Packaging Sales.’ A group has been going door-to-door in the region, claiming to collect money for troop care packages.

However, BBB investigators said they’ve been unable to determine how much—if any—of the money goes directly to those care packages.

The BBB advises people to be wary of solicitors coming door-to-door.
