BELLEVILLE, IL (KTVI) - Belleville city leaders want to hear from residents about a new housing ordinance that they hope will reduce crime.  It requires leases in Belleville to include a provision that breaking the law can be a reason for eviction.

A public hearing on the idea is at 7 p.m. Thursday night at City Hall.
