A Mount Vernon, IL based Army Reserve unit is mourning the loss of two soldiers after a fatal accident at an Army base in Kuwait Tuesday while supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.

The U.S. Army reports that both soldiers died March 5, 2019, as a result of a non-combat related incident, which is under investigation. The Army identifies the soldiers as Sgt. Holli R. Bolinski, 37, of Pinckneyville, Illinois, and Spc. Jackson D. Johnson, 20, of Hillsboro, Missouri. Both soldiers were assigned to 657th Transportation Company, 419th Transportation Battalion, 103d Sustainment Command, Mount Vernon, Illinois.

Robert Bolinski confirms to FOX 2 that his wife, Holli, was among those lost in a two-vehicle accident.  She was a mother of five. Mr. Bolinski says a third person in the vehicle was transported to Germany for medical treatment.

U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) made the following statement about the tragic death of Sgt. Bolinski:

This is truly gut-wrenching news. I can’t fathom the emotions of Sgt. Bolinksi’s family right now. Sgt. Bolinski’s service to our nation will not be forgotten. Please pray for the Bolinski family during this trying time.
