ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Better Family Life’s outreach program got a big infusion of money Monday. The St. Louis police department gave $20,000 in asset forfeiture funds and the city health department another $40,000.

Today’s contributions are in addition to $55,000 earlier this year to help Better Family Life do community outreach, including programs that address gun violence.

The health department considers city gun violence a public health crisis.

The pulpit to porches program gets pastors out of their churches, and into the neighborhoods talking to families about neighborhood violence, and what they need to strengthen their families.
