ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Musicians for the Blue Man Group visited Chaminade College Prep for an interactive workshop.

The painting with sound workshop focused on how the musicians improvise along with the Blue Man Group to tell a story. It was perfect for students like Gary Cunningham, who plans on studying art in college.

"Everything is connected in terms of art and not only does painting relate to music but not only drawing which is what I do." said Senior Gary Cunningham.

The Blue Man Group and musicians are performing at the Peabody Opera House this weekend. One of the musicians is a Chaminade College Prep alumnus.

"It`s about how the band basically does the communication for the Blue Man so we do a lot of the sonic painting." said Blue Man Group Strings Player Terry Tungjunyatham.

Terry has performed with the Blue Man Group since 2007. He was glad to share his experience with students at his former school. "It has been great to come back to the high school since I graduated and to give back to the school and to share what I do."

It's a glimpse into the blue man group students were happy to see.
