FESTUS, MO (KTVI)– Police have identified a body found last week as a missing woman last seen on August 17th.
The body of Deborah Rawlins was found by a canine team. The body was discovered in a heavily wooded area near the entrance of an old sand mine, located near Scenic Drive and Brandon Wallace Drive.
Rawlins died from a self inflected single gunshot wound. A handgun and other personal items belonging to Rawlins were located at the scene.
Foul play is not suspected in this incident.
