EAST ST. LOUIS, IL (KPLR) – A body has been found in the Mississippi River but hasn’t been recovered yet.
It was spotted south of the Poplar Street Bridge on the Illinois side near some debris.
Crews suspended their recovery effort until Friday, when there would be reduced river traffic, and additional equipment could be made available.
