RICHMOND HEIGHTS, MO (KTVI)-A staff member at MRH Elementary School found an anonymous note Tuesday indicating that a bomb had been placed inside the school. Taking the threat seriously, the school called both the Richmond Heights and Maplewood Police Departments and the District Central Office.
Police conducted a thorough inspection and no explosive devices or suspicious items were found. It was determined that the school was safe and no evacuation of was necessary.
Making false bomb threats is a crime under Missouri law and the school says they will file charges if the person responsible for the note is caught.
MRH Elementary is located on Princeton Place in Richmond Heights and is part of the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District.
