(KTVI)-- An 11-year-old Pittsburgh boy got a chance to meet his favorite players this Red October.

He may live in Pirates territory, but he is a Cardinals fan through and through. Jacob Malizio was hit in the head during batting practice before Game 4 in Pittsburgh.

He was holding out his Cardinals' ball cap trying to snag some autographs from his favorite team when a line drive hit him in the head.

A group of Cardinals players saw what happened and came over to see if Jacob was okay. His favorite player, David Freese, signed his jersey and a dozen others Cardinals took tuns signing Jacob's cap.
