ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KTVI) – On this Memorial Day weekend thousand gathered at Jefferson Barracks to honor the nation’s veterans.

Nearly 4,000 boy scouts placed flags at the graves of the nation’s fallen heroes. Each year they gather for the special ceremony now in its 65th year.

A flag was placed at each one of the 190,000 graves.

This is one of the longest running Memorial Day events within the Boy Scouts of American.
