Bridgeton Landfill says it’s met deadline to reduce odor

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (KTVI) – The company in charge of the Bridgeton Landfill says it’s beaten the July 31st deadline imposed by a court to knockdown the odor coming from a the landfill.

To reduce odors at the site, the company said it removed 30 liquid treatment tanks. The removal will allow the company to start a pilot study on odor removal next week.

This week, the company says it is also starting a new round of air sampling in the area.
