CEDAR HILL, MO (KTVI) – A brush fire near State Road BB and Beverly Court in Cedar Hill, Missouri, damaged structures Thursday night.

A garage caught fireand the flames spread to the nearby brush, eventually destroying a camper, a shed, and perhaps a barn.

The fire started around 8:00pm Thursday. It is not known how the garage caught on fire.

A neighbor says the family’s home on the property was spared.

Cedar Hill Fire Chief Terry Soer says the fire was put out by 10:00pm. No one was hurtand the fire did not spread beyond the property, but with the current dry conditions, it had the potential to spread quickly through the brush of that rural area.

The chief added, the terrain was tricky for firefighters and their truck only had 100 gallons of water, so they asked for help from nearby departments.
