WENTZVILLE, MO (KTVI)-Two men have been arrested for a home burglary in Wentzville, MO, Monday. On April 21, a woman returned to her home on the 100 block of Grove Street and noticed several of her items had been scattered about. According to Wentzville police, she soon saw two men run out the back of her home.

Police responded and a car description was developed. A Wentzville officer noticed a car matching the description parked at a local business along with another car nearby.  Noting the license plate of the second vehicle, the officer attempted to stop the vehicle which had started to pull off the lot. A short pursuit ensued. When the driver finally stopped, officers found a number of items from the burglary, including a handgun, in the car.

The driver, Dustin Ronnie James Lenzing, 18, of Warrenton, was taken into custody.

The license plate of the second vehicle led to a second suspect, identified as Lucas K. Green, 19, of Wentzville. The investigation found he was armed with a gun during the burglary. Police got a search warrant for Green’s residence. There they found additional items stolen during the burglary. Green was located soon after and taken into custody.

Lenzing and Green face first-degree burglary charges. Both men are being held at the St. Charles County Adult Detention facility on $35,000 cash-only bond.
