(CNN) - Is buying in bulk always a better deal?  For some things, the answer is yes.  Finance experts say, the following items are best bought at warehouse clubs.

At the top is cereal.  You can save as much as 60 percent at warehouse clubs, compared to a regular grocery store.

Next is milk.  A gallon of whole milk costs a mere $1.99 at places like Costco or Sam’s club, compared to $3.76 per gallon nationally.

You'll also want to load up on frozen appetizers like bagel bites or baby quiches and since you can always freeze leftovers, they won’t go to waste.

If you cook, buy extra virgin olive oil in bulk.  It's a steal at just 18 cents per ounce.  That's less than half the price found elsewhere.

And get pet food in bulk; you can get average savings of close to 60 percent.
