ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Thursday's weather will be calm with lighter winds and lots of sunshine in the afternoon. But there is a threat for another severe weather outbreak on Friday. FOX 2's Meteorologist Glenn Zimmerman says a vigorous  front will move through the region Friday with the potential for severe storms.  Cooler air will filter in for the weekend.

Fox 2 and KPLR 11 are teaming up with the National Weather Service, Midland Radio, Orscheln Farm and Home Stores and Schnucks to offer a special life saving promotion to people around St. Louis.  Until the end of June, you can buy a NOAA Weather Radio at a greatly reduced price of $29.99 at Orscheln Farm and Home stores and Schnucks.

Buy Your Radio Now

With the purchase of a NOAA Weather Radio, you get the peace of mind to know that even while you're asleep or otherwise unaware of the weather outside, you will be alerted to rapidly changing and potentially life threatening weather - including tornadoes.

What makes this deal even better is that a portion of your purchase price will be donated to the Salvation Army's disaster relief programs, so they can continue to serve the public following natural disasters like the Good Friday and  Joplin tornadoes.
