HANNIBAL, Mo. (AP) -The owners of the Dairy Queen in Hannibal face some repairs after a car struck the building. The Hannibal Courier-Post reports that no one was hurt in the accident Thursday afternoon, but the restaurant will be closed for what was expected to be a busy Father’s Day weekend while repairs are made. Lawrence Steibel told the newspaper he was pulling up to the Dairy Queen when his foot slipped off the brake and struck the accelerator. People were in the small restaurant but not hurt. Neither was Steibel nor his wife, who go to the Dairy Queen for ice cream almost every day. They’ve been married 51 years.
