FERGUSON, MO (KTVI)-- A nurse who's also an auto mechanic comes to the aid of a student pinned underneath a car Wednesday afternoon in Ferguson.

The 6th grade student at Johnson Wabash School was running across the street on January Avenue, when he was struck by a car.

The nurse who was making a home healthcare visit in the neighborhood came to his aid.

He jacked up the car, freeing the boy.

The 6th grader suffered non-life threatening injuries.
