Children of fallen firefighter to be awarded scholarships

JEFFERSON CITY, MO. (KTVI) – The children of two fallen firefighters will be awarded scholarships from the ICMA-RC Vantagepoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship Award.

This year’s award winner will be Megan and Matthew, 22-year old siblings of Robert Bruce Morrison, who died serving the St. Louis Fire Department and April Crockett, daughter of Terrance Crockett, who died serving the Kansas City Fire Department. 

A ceremony will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, July 31, in the rotunda on the first floor at the state capitol building.
