ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - It’s a St. Louis neighborhood that has seen better days. Even the local church here is in need of repair.

But pastor turner is proud of the broken windows and peeling paint.

Like the pastor of this church, many here believe that the needy people of this area are more important than any of the needed repairs to this building.

And in this season of giving, this church family wanted to share what little they had with those that had nothing at all.

So a special Sunday Thanksgiving dinner for the area's homeless was prepared, a gourmet dinner with menus, table cloths and fine service.

The members here say this meal is a prayer for hope. It’s a hope that someday this neighborhood will see better days ahead.
