NORTH ST LOUIS (KTVI) – Sunday service at the New Life Missionary Baptist Church on Plover was like no other. Members stood up in prayer outside of their church as they move forward after vandals set the front of the north city church on fire over the weekend. Pastor David Triggs says the fire didn’t put them on hold it instead it sparked the spirit of the church.

It’s the fifth St. Louis church set on fire in the last two weeks, but Pastor Triggs says they can hold church no matter when or where they are.

While St. Louis city fire officials and the ATF investigate, parishioners will look to the future with understanding and forgiveness as they make plans for a new location.
