Clayton office building evacuated after underground fire

CLAYTON, MO (KTVI) – A major roadway in Clayton was closed for several hours this morning after a fire broke out in an office building’s underground parking garage. It happened around 10:30am Thursday on south Brentwood and Carondelet

Fire officials say it was two floors below ground in an electric transformer. 80 to 100 people were evacuated, but no one was injured.

It will take several days for repairs.
