ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- It`s a new day at Grand Center Arts Academy, including changes to its principal. Former principal Lynne Glickert is out and new principal Dr. Louise Losos is in.

Parents tell FOX 2 they are not fans of the schools decision. Losos was most recently a principal at Clayton High School. In 2012, she resigned after 7 years, because of claims that she created a phony Facebook page and became friends with hundreds of students online. One parent who does not want her name used says:

"Not only does she have a shady past but and an unanswered for past and she has no arts background what so ever. There are accusations she went on Facebook portrayed herself as a teenage girl and friended over 300 students," she said.

The charter school board defended their decision and sent parents email saying they are impressed with the new principals 20 plus years of education experience. The Confluence Charter School who runs the academy released the following statement:

"We believe based on her outstanding record as an educational leader, she deserves a second chance. We feel very fortunate she is joining our leadership team."

Parents will have the opportunity to speak out at the next two board meetings set for June 4th and 10th. As for the firing of the Glickert we`re told it`s a personnel matter that won`t be discussed.

"They are making a big gamble with our kids it`s a big gamble we can`t afford to lose," she said.
