ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Commerce Bank says that an issue impacting their customer’s deposit accounts has been resolved.  But, there still may be intermittent issues with mobile and online banking systems.

Friday is payday for many people.  But an issue plagued Commerce Bank customer accounts for much of the day.  Those who have direct deposits that normally would be going into their Commerce Bank accounts are not seeing those deposits credited to their accounts on Friday morning.

FOX 2 reporter Dan Gray has been talking to customers coming out of the Commerce Bank branch on Dorsett Road. They said there were long lines inside the bank.  Employees told them the bank’s system was down and transactions had to be done by hand.

Several Commerce Bank customers tell FOX 2 that they were not seeing their direct deposit in their account.   The bank said in a statement that it encountered an unexpected system issue that impacted customers’ direct deposit account current balances during nightly processing.  Commerce says that resolved the issue at around 5:30pm.

Customers with immediate needs are asked to visit their closest branch; or call the customer care center at 1-877-278-1744.
