ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The Missouri Botanical Garden will have its doors open late Saturday night for those who want to see the Corpse Flower in bloom. The flower is one of only 160 that have bloomed over the last 120 years around the globe.
When plant is in bloom it emits an intense foul odor that only last 3 to 5 days.
The botanical will be open from 9 pm to 1 am. Admission is free. Only the Linnean House will be open, where the flower is located.
Visitors can also see the flower in the daytime from 9 am to 5 pm, but an admission of $8 for adults will be charged. Residents of St. Louis City and County will receive a discount of $4. Missouri Botanical Garden members are free.
