CRESTWOOD, MO (KTVI) - A 12-year-old boy last seen walking in a local park has been located.

The Crestwood Police Department confirmed to KTVI Wednesday morning that Brant Whitakker had been found.

Police found Whitakker just before 8 a.m. walking near the intersection of Watson and Elm. The department had received several phone calls from citizens who reported seeing the boy on Watson.

The boy told police he'd found a place to stay overnight. Investigators are interviewing him to get more specifics.

Whitakker was last seen Tuesday in Sanders Park. It’s a public park nestled back in the neighborhoods south of Big Bend Road along Sanders Drive. Gravois Creek runs through the center, and it was along the creek where he was last seen.
