(KTVI) – The City of Creve Coeur has temporarily put its red light camera program on hold. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that they took the action because of uncertainty over recent court rulings.

One court ruled that it was legal for Creve Coeur to ticket car owners even if they weren’t driving. The same court later ruled that cities must prove who was driving.

The company providing the cameras, American Traffic Solutions is appealing the rulings. The Creve Coeur City Council also voted to renew its three year contract with the company.
