ST. LOUIS, Mo._A massive three-alarm fire at a vacant warehouse in north St. Louis has firefighters busy right now. It happened shortly before 6:30 a.m. at Dodier and Leffingwell, near Jefferson Avenue.

When crews arrived, there was already fire burning on all three levels in the rear of the structure.

The fire quickly grew to three-alarms, with near 80 firefighters responding with equipment.

St. Louis Fire Department spokesperson, Captain Garon Mosby, says a big reason the call went to three alarms was to bring enough crews here to get massive amounts of water on the fire. Crews were hooking up hoses blocks away to bring in enough water to basically surround and drown the fire.

Fortunately no one was hurt.

Authorities say crews could be at that scene all day, dousing the warehouse with water before the fire is completely out.
