(KTVI) – The Chicago Cubs have unveiled their first mascot. The cartoon cub is named, “Clark” and will make his first appearance tonight at a Chicago area hospital on Monday night. The choice was based on fan interviews and surveys.
A release from the teams titled, “Unbearably cute! Cubs unveil new mascot” says that people are looking for more family-friendly entertainment at Wrigley Field. The new mascot will, “engage with young fans, and be respectful of the game.”
The new addition to the team is named after Clark and Addison, the intersection where Wrigley Field is located.
