MANCHESTER, MO (KTVI) – Manchester police released dashcam video of the April 9th police chase that ended with a deadly crash that killed 26-year-old Ebony Franklin of Florissant on Highway 141.

In the video you can see the officer arrive at Plato’s Closet at the 14000 block of Manchester Road on a stealing call. Soon afterward, the officer discovers a burgundy SUV and tags matching the suspect’s description sitting at the red light near the store. The driver took off into a busy intersection and police pursued.

Officials say the chase quickly ended as the driver entered northbound Highway 141 at a high rate of speed.

Within minutes emergency crews received a call about a crash at Burgundy and 141.  Police say the SUV hit a white sedan with an 18-year-old male driver inside.

Franklin was thrown from the car and died at the scene.  A 20-year-old female passenger in the car with Franklin was critically injured and another 17-year-old female in the car escaped without injury.

At last check the 18-year-old victim in the white sedan was listed in stable condition
