In the case of Dave Grohl vs. The Muppets’ Animal on the drums, we’re going to call it a draw.

The pair battled it out on the skins on the ABC reboot of “The Muppets.” Grohl performed on Tuesday night’s episode with Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, the house band for Miss Piggy’s late-night show.

The Foo Fighters frontman, who also played drums as part of legendary ’90s band Nirvana, and Animal go mano a mano during the closing credits. Grohl confesses that he’s been “waiting years for this, Animal,” with the Muppet musician responding, “Now we see who best.”

Animal leads off. Then Grohl taps his cymbal and says, “Oh, what’s that, a bell? Time for school,” before launching into his solo.

By the end, after wrecking both drum sets, each concludes that the other won.

Fans will remember that Grohl appeared as “Animool” the drummer for the tribute band “The Moopets” in the 2011 “Muppets” movie.
