BETHALTO, IL (KTVI) - It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's a giant Minion!

If you looked up in the sky in the Metro East Wednesday morning, you may have seen a very large yellow minion floating overhead.

The blimp was tethered at the St. Louis Regional Airport in Alton, Illinois.

Cruising at an average height of 1,000 feet, the DespicaBlimp will travel approximately 20,000 miles over the next few months going from coast to coast and points in between. The crew flew and drove from Bentonville, Arkansas Tuesday night and will travel to Chicago after leaving St. Louis.

The blimp made its first appearance Saturday, March 23 over Nickelodeon's 2013 Kids` Choice Awards.

Here are some videos taken from inside the blimp, and a view of the blimp taking off from the ground.
